What is Endodontics?
Our primary goal is to save your natural teeth whenever possible. Our practice specializes in endodontics, commonly referred to as root canal therapy. The word “endo” comes from the Greek language and means “inside” or within. Endodontists work with the “inside” of a tooth. Endodontics is the treatment of diseases of the pulp and surrounding tissues of a tooth.
In addition to attaining a doctorate in dentistry, endodontists receive two or more years of advanced education in endodontic treatment. Exploring and learning the latest technology in root canal techniques and procedures provides expert knowledge that can assist endodontists in the diagnosis and treatment of more difficult cases.
